Postpartum Doula Care
As a postpartum doula I provide emotional and physical support in your recovery from childbirth, techniques for soothing your new baby, and helpful coping tools for your role as a new parent. My main role is to nurture the Mother or Birthing Person by providing easily digestible & nutritious meals, assisting with light housework, and providing Reiki, Reflexology, and ceremony.
Sweet Embrace Postpartum Care Includes:
• 1 prenatal visit to your home to come up with a postpartum “plan”, and discuss how I can best support you and your family. Included in this visit is a postpartum pantry & wellness list (common herbs that assist with healing, body products, pantry & fridge items that I typically use when cooking)
• Nutritious, easily digestible meals, snacks, and beverages made in your home
• Reflexology
• Yoni steaming, herbal baths, belly binding, warm oil therapies
• Teaching self massage (Abhyanga) and Baby massage
• Light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, & watering plants
• Allowing you time and space to bond with your baby/Emotional Support
• Baby care while you nap, shower, take time with your partner, or take a walk
• Pet care (walks, feeding, snuggles)
$50/hr or $40/hr for Birth Clients
+$20 per visit outside of Gilpin County for vehicle maintenance
✦ Overnight Postpartum Support
• 10PM-6AM
• Taking care of babe(s) (includes diaper changes, swaddling, snuggling, soothing)
• Bringing them to you to nurse (or bottle feeding them)
• Making sure that you get good sleep; it’s so important for mental health and relationships!
• Washing bottles/pump parts and laundry when I arrive
$50/hr.
✦ Hospital Recovery Support
Perfect for single parents, cesarean births, and when partners need to care for other children at home
Options:
4 hour shift OR 8 hour shift
• Taking care of babe(s) (includes diaper changes, swaddling, snuggling, soothing) while you rest
• Bringing them to you for feedings
• Includes nourishing meal & herbal bath for you to enjoy
• Record keeping (poops, pees, nurse routines/vitals)
• Diaper changing, swaddling, & chestfeeding support
• Advocating for your health and well being & Emotional Support
• Taking first day(s) photos & birth processing
$50/hr.
✦ Sealing Ceremony and Nourishment Visit
Sealing ceremonies are practiced all around the World, but has origins in Mexico, Russia, and Morocco. They represent closure after birth; physically, emotionally, and energetically. This ceremony brings you to a place of gratitude as your body is wrapped in a cocoon of Rebozos, leaving you feeling grounded and nourished. Visit includes herbal bath (or foot soak), tea, and birth processing. (2-3 hours total)
